Patrick Bamford asserts that no one surpasses Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold in striking a ball.
Despite currently sidelined with a knee injury, Alexander-Arnold was having an outstanding campaign at full-back.
The 25-year-old has rightfully gained recognition as one of the Premier League’s top passers, on par with talents like Kevin De Bruyne.
It’s arguable that we’ve never witnessed a full-back as technically proficient as Trent, especially in his playmaking prowess.
Patrick Bamford has complimented that the Liverpool star currently holds the title of the world’s best ball-striker.
During an episode of the My Mate’s A Footballer podcast, the Leeds United forward engaged with questions from the audience.
Listeners asked him to name players he has encountered whom he would select to fill every position on the pitch, alongside himself as the striker.
“It was between Bernardo and Trent,” the Leeds United forward said. “He [Trent] can do a bit of everything. I think centre-back would be a bit of a struggle but everywhere else.”
He added: “His technical ability and the way he strikes a ball, there’s no one better I don’t think. He can kick it so far as well, that’s mental.”
While many players exhibit remarkable technical prowess in ball-striking, Trent undoubtedly ranks among the elite in world football.
His proficiency in finding teammates in the final third places him in the same category as De Bruyne.
Additionally, Trent’s ability to score demonstrates his sharp instinct for goal, often capitalizing on scoring opportunities when positioned correctly.
